1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Looma Labs Technology Co., Ltd. ("Looma", "we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with VerseScroll, our Bible reading application ("the App"). We respect your privacy and process your information responsibly and transparently.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information. The App works without registration: on first use, an anonymous account with a random identifier is created for you (via Google Firebase). If you later choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic identifiers those services share (such as your email address), linked to the same account.
• Your Activity. Reading progress, bookmarks, and settings you create are stored with your account. If you submit a content report or cast a monthly giving vote, we store that submission together with your account identifier.
• Payments. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's In‑App Purchase (IAP). We do not store full payment details. We receive your subscription status (e.g., active plan and expiration date) through RevenueCat to unlock premium features.
• Automatically Collected Data. Device model and OS, app version, crash logs, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Religious Information

VerseScroll is a Bible app, so your use of it may reflect your religious interests. We never ask you to declare your religion or beliefs, we do not build profiles of your religious views, and we do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising. Your activity data is used only to provide the features described in this Policy.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide core functionality (scripture delivery, study content, syncing your account data).
• Verify subscription entitlements and provide premium access.
• Enforce fair-use limits and prevent abuse of the service.
• Respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our Terms.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information with service providers acting on our behalf, under confidentiality and data protection obligations:

• Apple for IAP payment processing and subscription management.
• Google Firebase for authentication and storage of your account data.
• RevenueCat for subscription status management.
• Cloudflare for server hosting and content delivery.
• Authorities when required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

Study aids in the App are generated with AI language models from the scripture text itself; no personal data about you is sent to AI providers.

6. Data Storage, Transfers & Security

• Data may be processed on servers located within or outside your country/region. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
• We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit).
• We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Subject to applicable laws — including, where they apply, the EU/UK GDPR and Brazil's LGPD — you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account in the App's settings or by contacting us at developer@loomalabs.ai. When you delete your account, we delete the data linked to your identifier, except limited records we are required to keep by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Subscription & Payment Information

The App uses Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system for premium subscriptions. Payments are processed through your Apple ID account. We do not collect or store your credit card or full billing details.

• Auto-Renewable Subscription. If you purchase a premium subscription, it automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Renewal charges may occur within 24 hours prior to the period's end.
• Free Trials. If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid plan unless canceled before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a trial period is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
• Entitlements. We receive limited information about your subscription status (e.g., active plan and expiration date) via Apple and RevenueCat to verify entitlements and provide premium access. This information is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.
• Manage or Cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings. Removing the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Refunds. Billing and refunds are handled under Apple's App Store policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
